The AIFF Disciplinary Committee, which met on February 23, 2023, in the matter of Friends Union Club Player Ayuk Jamatia, Tripura, has unanimously taken the decision to invoke AIFF Disciplinary Code Article 62 on said player for age fraud. and the crime of forgery and falsification, thus sanctioned by the article.

In view of article 62 of the code, the committee has decided to suspend the player from participating in football matches for a period of four (4) years from the date of the order. Furthermore, the player was ordered to deposit a fine of Rs 2,50,000 (just two lakh fifty thousand rupees).

The player has the right to file an appeal against this order under the terms of article 117 of the code.

In addition, the AIFF player status and registration department is directed to deregister the player in CRS (Centralized Registration System).

It was found that said player has two IDs in the CRS with two different dates of birth with a difference of almost eight years between them. The player responded to the notice of good cause issued through a letter dated February 8, 2023, in which he admitted to submitting two separate proofs of birth to register with AIFF.

Thereafter, multiple efforts by the committee to contact the player directly, as well as through his clubs to ensure his presence before the committee, yielded no results as the player was unavailable.
